Get started.

  1. Install

    Open the DMG. Drag Gyro to Applications.

  2. Connect

    Choose your agent in Settings → Providers.

  3. Build

    Open a project and start a task.

Which Mac build?

Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. An Apple M-series chip means Apple Silicon. An Intel processor means Intel.

macOS won’t open Gyro

macOS asks to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet; click Open. Keep Gatekeeper enabled.

Connect a provider

Connect a CLI, API key, or Ollama in Settings → Providers.

Cloud providers may receive file contents and command output.

Gyro verifies update signatures. To roll back, install an older DMG.

Uninstall Gyro

Before uninstalling, remove API keys saved in Gyro using the provider’s Remove control in Settings. Quit Gyro, then move Gyro.app to Trash.

To remove sessions, settings, logs, and local workspaces too, delete ~/Library/Application Support/Gyro. Save any work you need from its workspaces and worktrees first. Removing that folder does not remove Keychain credentials, provider CLI logins, or files in your own projects.

Install the CLI with Homebrew

brew tap wytzeh197/tap
brew trust --formula wytzeh197/tap/gyro
brew install gyro

This installs the CLI, not Gyro.app.
